Summer of '12

It's been 11 months since my last blog entry! I was on a blogging hiatus after signing up on Instagram and Twitter. At least for my lifestyle, it seemed much easier to post a photo and update a status in 140 characters than to start a "Dear Diary..." blog. In the beginning of 2012, my brother, sister, and I traded in a house and garage for a new home, a condo unit in the 3rd floor...3 floors closer to heaven, to my Mom.

School, work, and family & Love life have remained constant. But I can't say the same for my social life. Some friendships have drifted apart, some have renewed, and when I get the chance to be invited to celebrations, I'm always present because I enjoy the camaraderie. I've been a homebody which led me to gaining 10 lbs and updated on Pretty Little Liars, Design by Jane, How I Met Your Mother, and of course, reruns of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and Sex and the City.

Summer will never be the same again. Why would it be? My mother passed away in the summer of '10. Because of my family, friends, and my Love, I still believe life is beautiful. But there's a kind of pain I have to live with for the rest of life. When someone you love dies, a part of you dies too.

This summer I found a passion for baking and I learned how to live a little. Here's a few photos of my baking goods and the highlight of summer: Alii Nui and Sea Fantasy boat trips, sunsets, dolphins, and snorkeling. I'm blessed and always truly grateful for new experiences.
